What is the Process Like?

Filing for the Temporary Residency Card

You will file for the Temporary Residency Card at the Rosarito Beach INM Immigration office, located 34 miles from San Diego, California. The filing can be done on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday, and the process takes about two hours. You will need only your passport.

Meeting Arrangements

For your convenience, I can meet you at a San Diego hotel or the airport at 9:30 a.m. on the day you choose to come. The Temporary Residency Card will be ready by 2:00 p.m. the same day, and we will return to San Diego around 5:00 p.m.

What Happens After the Four Years of Residency?

Transition to Permanent Residency

After the initial four years of Residency, you can transition to permanent Residency, which is lifelong and does not require renewal or proof of income. This transition ensures long-term stability and peace of mind, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of living in Mexico indefinitely.
